Privacy Policy

1. Core Principle

Takomi is designed around ownership. Everything you write, track, or create inside the app stays on your device only. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. We do not use analytics, tracking, ads, or third-party SDKs.

2. Data Storage

All information, including journal entries, mood logs, breathing history, and settings — is stored locally using encrypted storage (Hive database). None of this data leaves your device unless you explicitly export it. Takomi does not maintain cloud accounts or remote backups.

3. Permissions

Takomi requests only essential permissions required for basic app function:

• Local Storage: Used to save your entries and preferences privately on your device.
• Notifications (optional): Used only if you enable mindful reminders within the app. Notification data is never sent to external services.
• Vibration / Haptics: Used to enhance breathing guidance feedback.

4. No Tracking or Analytics

Takomi contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not track behavior, collect usage statistics, or generate identifiers. There is no telemetry or fingerprinting of any kind.

5. Purchases

Studio membership purchases are handled securely through Apple’s App Store infrastructure. Takomi does not have access to your payment information. We only store a local flag confirming your membership status so features remain unlocked offline.

6. Optional Exports

If you choose to export your data (for example, to back it up or share a layout file), the export is generated entirely on your device. You ceontrol where and how it is shared. Takomi never transmits or retains exported files.

7. Children’s Privacy

Takomi is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect or store data from anyone under this age. Because Takomi stores all data locally, parents can review or delete all information directly on the device.

8. Data Control & Deletion

You can erase all data at any time from within Settings → Privacy → “Erase all data on this device.” This permanently deletes every record and cannot be undone. Takomi does not retain any backups.
